Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Migration Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for extracting financial, job costing, and operational data from industry-leading construction accounting and project management software and importing it into Premier Construction Software. You'll work closely with Implementation Consultants and Clients to ensure accurate, secure, and timely migrations using bulk uploads, transformation scripts, and reconciliation tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data migration projects, including planning, scoping, extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), and final validation.
• Extract data from legacy systems such as QuickBooks, Procore, Sage 100/300 CRE, Viewpoint, and others.
• Use SQL, Excel, and other scripting tools to transform and clean data in preparation for upload to Premier Construction Software.
• Develop and maintain scripts, templates, and bulk upload files used in Premier.
• Reconcile migrated data with legacy system reports to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Collaborate with Implementation, Support, and Product teams to resolve discrepancies and clarify client requirements.
• Document procedures, field mappings, data rules, and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
• Provide clients with support and best practices to ensure a smooth data transition with minimal disruption.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Accounting, or a related field.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience in data migration, database management, or ETL processes.
• Proficiency with SQL (queries, views, stored procedures) and relational databases.
• High proficiency in Excel, including Power Query, pivot tables, and data transformation.
• Experience with CSV, XML, JSON data formats.
• Attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience migrating data from construction software like QuickBooks Desktop/Online, Procore, Sage 100/300 CRE, or Viewpoint.
• Knowledge of construction industry workflows, cost codes, and accounting principles.
• Experience with data validation tools or scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
• Familiarity with data governance and privacy standards in SaaS environments.
