Fixed Income Trader - Fresh Graduate (Karachi)
Sherman Securities Pvt Ltd is a leading financial institution in Pakistan, committed to fostering talent and providing exceptional opportunities for growth. We are looking for a highly motivated and analytical Fresh Graduate to join our dynamic Fixed Income Trading team in Karachi.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual eager to launch their career in the exciting world of financial markets. You will gain hands-on experience in fixed income trading, contribute to our trading strategies, and develop a deep understanding of the Pakistani debt market.
What you'll do:
* Assist senior traders in executing fixed income trades (e.g., PIBs, T-Bills, Corporate Bonds).
* Monitor market movements, economic indicators, and news relevant to the fixed income market.
* Analyze market data to identify trading opportunities and risks.
* Prepare trading reports and presentations.
* Develop and maintain relationships with institutional clients and counterparties.
* Stay updated on regulatory changes and market best practices.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of our trading strategies and processes.
What we're looking for:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field from a reputable university.
* Strong academic record.
* Demonstrated passion for financial markets, particularly fixed income.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with financial modeling is a plus.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
* Proactive, self-starter with a strong desire to learn and grow.
* Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal or Refinitiv Eikon is a plus.
