Job Title: UI/UX Designer

We are seeking a dedicated and outstanding UI/UX Designer to help build Gnomen's new SaaS platform. In this role, you will work closely with the developers by providing user-centred Figma designs.

Minimum Requirements
  • A diploma in product design or UI/UX design.
  • 3+ years in UX/UI design, preferably in SaaS applications.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing interaction design skills and user-centred design thinking.
  • Good English communication and presentation abilities, capable of effectively explaining design concepts and reasoning to others.
  • Proficient in Figma.
  • Desire to build an ambitious platform from the ground up.
  • Interested in immersive user experience trends, industry advancements, and emerging technologies.
  • Experience with agile methodology and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Impeccable knowledge of UX Design Do's and Don'ts.
  • Work in-house in our Lahore office.
Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of user needs, behaviours, and motivations to inform design decisions.
  • Understand and apply design guidelines and philosophy.
  • Design user interfaces that are visually appealing and easy to use, incorporating well-known patterns.
  • Collaborate with the Design Systems team and ensure consistency and scalability.
  • Advocate for user needs, maintaining a high bar for quality throughout the design process.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.

UX Design Skills

  • User Research: Conducting interviews, surveys, and usability testing to understand user needs and behaviors.
  • Information Architecture: Structuring and organizing content in a way that is logical and easy to navigate.
  • Wireframing and Prototyping: Creating low-fidelity sketches and high-fidelity interactive prototypes to visualize the design concept.
  • User Flow and Journey Mapping: Mapping out the steps a user takes to achieve a specific goal within a product.
  • Interaction Design: Designing how users interact with a product, including buttons, menus, and other interactive elements.
  • Usability Testing: Conducting tests to evaluate how easy and intuitive a design is for users.
  • Accessibility: Ensuring designs are inclusive and accessible to all users, including those with disabilities.
  • Persona Creation: Developing user personas based on research to guide design decisions.
  • Content Strategy: Planning and designing the content that users will interact with.
  • Problem-Solving: Identifying and resolving user experience challenges.

UI Design Skills

  • Visual Design: Creating visually appealing and consistent designs, including layout, color schemes, and typography.
  • Design Software Proficiency: Proficiency in tools like Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or Photoshop for creating and editing designs.
  • Responsive Design: Designing interfaces that work well on various screen sizes and devices, including mobile, tablet, and desktop.
  • Design Systems: Developing and maintaining a set of design guidelines and components for consistency across a product.
  • Typography: Understanding and applying principles of typography, including font selection, spacing, and hierarchy.
  • Color Theory: Applying color schemes effectively to enhance aesthetics and usability.
  • Iconography: Designing or selecting icons that are clear and intuitive.
  • Animation and Motion Design: Creating animations to enhance the user experience and provide feedback on interactions.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring that every element of the design is pixel-perfect and aligns with the overall design vision.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure the design is implemented correctly.
