Role Description

CIV Tech Associates is providing supervision services on the Balakot Hydropower Project, located in Balakot, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This is a full-time on-site opportunity for a Planning Engineer who is an expert in Primavera. The responsibilities include managing detailed project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all phases from design to commissioning, supervising resource allocation, tracking progress, and performing budget control. A key responsibility is conducting delay analysis to determine the causes and impacts of any project delays and recommending corrective actions. The role also involves generating progress reports, incorporating changes into the schedule, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure alignment.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is typically required. A Master's degree or specialized certifications in project management or construction management is an advantage. Certifications: Primavera P6 certification.
  • Experience: More than 12 years of experience with project planning, preferably on dams and hydropower projects.
  • Necessary Skills:
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6: Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 for scheduling, resource allocation, and delay analysis.
  • Project Scheduling and Time Management: Strong understanding of project lifecycle, critical path method (CPM), and ability to develop and monitor detailed schedules.
  • Cost Control and Budgeting: Ability to estimate project costs, track expenses, and ensure the project stays within budget.
  • Delay Analysis and Problem Solving: Expertise in delay analysis techniques (e.g., Impacted As-Planned, Time Impact Analysis) to identify causes of delays, assess their impact, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Proficient in generating detailed project reports, maintaining documentation, and ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project.
