The Project Manager – IT is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing IT projects within scope, budget, and schedule. This role requires collaboration across multiple departments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and delivering high-quality outcomes. The ideal candidate is adept at managing technical teams, handling multiple priorities, and utilizing project management methodologies effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

  1. Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  2. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  3. Coordinate and manage project resources and oversee the day-to-day operations of IT projects.

Stakeholder Communication:

  1. Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders.
  2. Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and progress/status reports.
  3. Facilitate effective communication between technical teams and business stakeholders.

Team Management:

  1. Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment on project goals and responsibilities.
  2. Foster collaboration and resolve conflicts to maintain team productivity.
  3. Monitor team performance and address any roadblocks promptly.

Risk and Issue Management:

  1. Identify potential risks with prior planning and develop mitigation strategies.
  2. Address and resolve project issues, escalating when necessary.
  3. Monitor project compliance with organizational standards and IT governance policies.

Documentation and Reporting:

  1. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
  2. Generate status reports and dashboards for stakeholders and senior management.
  3. Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned.

Budget and Resource Management:

  1. Manage project budgets, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
  2. Track expenditures and justify budget variances when necessary.
  3. Oversee the implementation of IT systems, software, and infrastructure projects.
  4. Ensure that solutions meet business needs and technical requirements.
  5. Support testing, training, and deployment activities.

Adherence to Methodologies:

  1. Apply project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall based on project requirements.
  2. Advocate for best practices in project management within the IT team.
Qualifications:

Education:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Business.

Experience:

  1. 5-7 years of experience in IT project management or a similar role, preferably in a medical billing, IT, or technology-driven environment.
  2. Proven track record of successfully managing IT projects from initiation to completion.
  3. Experience with cloud technologies, software development, or IT infrastructure projects is a plus.

Certifications (Preferred):

  1. PMP (Project Management Professional)
  2. PRINCE2
  3. ITIL Foundation

Skills:

  1. Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, MS Project, Trello, or equivalent.
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  3. Proficiency in English language and excellent communication.
  4. Interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  5. Strong knowledge of IT systems, software development lifecycles, and IT infrastructure.
  6. Leadership and team-building capabilities.
  7. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  8. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
  9. Adaptability to dynamic and fast-paced IT environments.
