We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Backend Developer with expertise in Node.js, MongoDB, and GraphQL to join our dynamic and innovative development team. As a Lead Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and high-performance backend solutions that power our applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain backend services using Node.js.
  • Develop and optimize database interactions with MongoDB for efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Collaborate with the front-end development team to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Design and implement GraphQL APIs to efficiently serve data for various client applications.
  • Optimize GraphQL queries to ensure performance and responsiveness of the API.
  • Manage and optimize MongoDB databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and scalability.
  • Implement data models and schemas to support application requirements.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, designers, and product managers.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the backend infrastructure.
  • Optimize code and queries to improve system efficiency and response times.
  • Implement security best practices to protect against common web application vulnerabilities.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance system security.
  • Create and maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation for backend systems and APIs.

Requirements:

  • 5-6 years of experience in backend development using Node.js.
  • In-depth knowledge of MongoDB and experience with database design and optimization.
  • Strong proficiency in GraphQL and building efficient APIs.
  • Demonstrated experience working on scalable and high-performance applications.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering practical solutions.
  • Proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and staying updated on industry trends.
