You'll own end-to-end SEO with a strong focus on Local SEO. From technical audits and on-page optimisation to GBP (Google Business Profile) growth, citations, and local link building — your work should turn searches into booked inspections and calls.

• Strategy & Planning: Build and iterate an SEO roadmap aligned to revenue goals, seasonality, and service areas.
• Technical SEO: Crawl, diagnose, and fix issues (indexation, Core Web Vitals, site speed, redirects, canonicals, schema/JSON-LD, internal linking).
• On-Page SEO: Map keywords to pages; optimise service + location pages (e.g., EICR London, Fire Risk Assessment London); write/update titles, metas, headers, FAQs, and content briefs.
• Content Ops: Brief writers or draft yourself; ensure content follows UK English and passes E-E-A-T checks; interlink money pages and hubs.
• Local SEO: Manage Google Business Profile (categories, services, posts, products, Q&A, hours, updates).
• Build/clean citations and ensure NAP consistency at scale.
• Roll out location pages & service-area pages with unique, conversion-led content.
• Reputation ops: review acquisition, responses, and profile hygiene.
• Competitor/Map Pack gap analysis and spam-fighting where appropriate.
• Tracking & Reporting: Own GA4, GSC, and call/lead tracking; set up events/conversions; create weekly dashboards; report on KPIs and next actions.
• Link Earning & PR: Secure relevant local/industry placements (directories, niche blogs, local press); manage outreach lists and follow-ups.
• Collaboration: Work with web/WordPress team to ship changes quickly (themes, plugins, UX tweaks, CRO).

• 2–4+ years hands-on SEO with proven local results (Map Pack + organic) in a service business.
• Strong WordPress experience (Rank Math or Yoast, page builders, schema).
• Confident with GA4, GSC, Tag Manager, and conversion tracking (forms, calls, WhatsApp, etc.).
• Tools: Screaming Frog, Ahrefs/SEMrush, BrightLocal (or similar).
• Able to produce/edit UK-English on-page copy and briefs.
• Comfortable with fast iteration, clear documentation, and ownership.

• Experience in trades/compliance/home-services niches.
• CRO basics (landing pages, forms, CTAs, social proof).
• Basic HTML/CSS, image optimisation, and site speed tuning.
• Google Ads awareness for SEO–PPC alignment.

• Baseline audit + action plan delivered in week 2.
• Priority technical fixes shipped (CWV, indexation, internal linking).
• GBP fully optimised; citations cleaned and expanded.
• Location/service pages improved; content calendar live.
• Leading indicators up: impressions, CTR on priority pages, Map Pack visibility in target postcodes, tracked calls/forms.
