We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Student Counselor to guide students through their academic journey and personal development. This role is perfect for a passionate professional who wants to make a meaningful impact on students' lives by providing comprehensive counseling services, academic guidance, and emotional support.

Academic Guidance & Planning

  • Conduct individual counseling sessions to assess students' academic goals, interests, and career aspirations
  • Develop personalized academic plans and course selection strategies
  • Monitor student progress and provide interventions when needed
  • Assist with college/university applications, scholarship opportunities, and career planning

Personal & Emotional Support

  • Provide crisis intervention and emotional counseling for students facing personal challenges
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions addressing mental health, anxiety, depression, and adjustment issues
  • Implement preventive programs promoting mental wellness and resilience
  • Maintain confidential student records and case management documentation

Required Qualifications

Education & Certification

  • Master's degree in School Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or related field
  • Valid state counseling license (LPC, LMHC, LCSW, or equivalent)

Experience

  • Minimum 2-3 years of counseling experience, preferably in educational settings
  • Experience working with diverse student populations (ages 13-18 for high school, 18-25 for college)
  • Demonstrated experience in crisis intervention and mental health counseling

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in student information systems and counseling software
  • Knowledge of assessment tools and career exploration platforms
  • Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace proficiency
