Role Overview

The Shift Boiler Engineer is responsible for leading the shift at the Cogen plant & utilities department.

Core Responsibilities
  1. Operation: Manage the operation of boilers, turbines, cooling towers, coal crushers, ash handling, water treatment, compressed air, LPG/SNG, and raw water systems. Ensure proper functioning of tube wells and wastewater treatment, complying with NEQS standards.
  2. Documentation: Maintain logbooks, reports, SAP notifications, and data related to production and consumption.
  3. Quality Assurance: Regularly check the quality of boiler feed water, process water, and condensate; ensure proper functioning of water settling systems.
  4. Performance & KPIs: Minimize losses due to leaks, control valves, and meet management KPIs.
  5. Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS): Ensure safety device functionality, PPE compliance, and environmental policies adherence.
Minimum Requirements
  • First Class Boiler Competency Certificate
  • 1-2 years of experience in utilities plant operation and troubleshooting
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • SAP experience
  • Professional level English language skills
