Skills and Experience Needed

  • ACCA/Equivalent qualification
  • Previous experience in managing payroll
  • Excellent current, technical payroll knowledge
  • Experience in processing manual payrolls
  • Strong systems and numerical skills
  • Leadership ability to guide and share payroll knowledge with the team
  • Familiarity with payroll-related aspects of UK employment laws
  • Strong knowledge of Holiday Pay, SMP, SPP, SSP, P45, P60, P11D

Duties and Responsibilities

  • 2-3 years of experience in payroll management or similar roles
  • Manage monthly payrolls for clients
  • Ensure HMRC submissions are completed and payroll reconciliations are performed
  • Maintain communication with clients and HMRC regarding payroll queries
  • Proficient in payroll software such as Money Soft and Bright Pay
  • Process Attachment of Earnings as applicable
  • Ensure accurate and timely end-to-end payroll production for clients, complying with statutory regulations
  • Manage pension auto-enrolment and contributions
  • Notify pension providers of joiners, leavers, and contributions
  • Conduct National Minimum Wage checks
  • Work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with management and team members
