Responsible for improving a company's organic search results.
Creates and launches SEO campaigns, identifies areas of improvement, runs PPC campaigns, and attempts to improve the clients' sites' rankings in major search engines.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Review and analyze client sites for areas that need to be improved, deleted, or revised.
  2. Prepare detailed strategy reports.
  3. Identify the least expensive but most powerful and profitable keywords for client sites.
  4. Run pay-per-click campaigns.
  5. Improve a company's organic search results.
  6. Write effective headlines, body copy, and websites.
  7. Ensure websites are filled with optimal keywords.
  8. Place keywords appropriately in copy to gain the most search engine traffic.
  9. Write effective call-to-action statements.
  10. Write original, powerful SEO content for blogs and websites.
  11. Implement off-page SEO content strategies such as coding.
  12. Effectively use header tags.
  13. Keep abreast of white hat and black hat tactics so as not to violate search engine guidelines.
  14. Strategize ways to improve and track site performance.
  15. Compile and present SEO performance reports.
  16. Adjust PPC campaigns as needed.
  17. Consult with independent web designers to improve the navigation of a site to enhance its search engine ranking.
  18. Utilize basic programming and web design skills to enhance SEO.
  19. Create advanced SEO strategies.
  20. Evaluate product offering, traffic, landing page quality, content, design, security, payment options, shipping options, demographics of prospective customers when determining keywords and campaigns.
Job Specification

Experience with Google and Bing's services, including Analytics and Webmaster Tools
Experience with Google's Keyword Tool
A functional understanding of HTML and CSS
The ability to work with back-end SEO elements such as .htaccess, robots.txt, metadata, site speed optimization, and related skills
Proven success in link building and viral strategies
The ability to deploy an effective local and long-tail search strategy
A deep understanding of mobile strategy and how it relates to SEO
A solid grasp of how blogging, press releases, social media, and related strategies go hand-in-hand with SEO
Experience in building inbound organic search traffic and improving SERPs
A background in creating reports showing web analytics data and site evaluations
An up-to-date, working knowledge of current, past, and projected trends in the SEO industry
Familiarity with the best tools in the trade
Supplementary skills: PHP, UX, IA, CRO, SEM, Content Strategy, Social Media
