The Opportunity

  1. Monitor all HVAC systems in the building.
  2. Maintain temperature & humidity throughout the area according to production plans.
  3. Control and operate process chilled water and hot water systems.
  4. Monitor heating systems.
  5. Control outdoor lighting.
  6. Manage demand control systems.
  7. Oversee domestic water systems.
  8. Manage storm and septic pumping pits.
  9. Control and monitor fire alarm systems.
  10. Be familiar with system alarms and situations.
  11. Liaise with shift leaders, fire officers, and emergency response teams.
  12. Acknowledge alarms and reset systems.
  13. Understand the difference between faults and alarms.
  14. Isolate sounder and detector devices as needed.
  15. Isolate areas for maintenance work.
  16. Track alarms/pre-alarms and inform emergency teams.
  17. Replace broken glass and keep stock of fire system consumables.
  18. Coordinate with suppression systems, including FM-200 deactivation and activation.

What You'll Need

  1. Diploma of Associate Engineering or similar qualification.
  2. Ability to obtain and provide information internally.
  3. Ability to follow defined procedures and processes under supervision.
