This is initially a six months contract and may get extended depending upon the customer requirements.

Project Overview:

This project involves upgrading our BizTalk environment from BizTalk 2016 to BizTalk 2020. The consultant will play a key role in coordinating technical tasks and managing stakeholder communication throughout the project.

Responsibilities:

• Install and configure BizTalk Server 2020 in the existing infrastructure.
• Execute the migration and upgrade from BizTalk 2016 to BizTalk 2020, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to business operations.
• Migrate data, applications, and configurations to the new environment.
• Perform system testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure a smooth transition.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for installation, configuration, and migration processes.
• Collaborate with IT teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide project updates.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring clear and consistent communication on project status, risks, and timelines.
• Provide post-upgrade support and assist in resolving any technical issues.
• Design and implement new BizTalk solutions to meet business requirements, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency.
• Develop, test, and deploy integrations using BizTalk Server, including schemas, maps, pipelines, and orchestrations.
• Monitor and optimize BizTalk applications for performance, reliability, and fault tolerance.
• Implement and maintain enterprise integration patterns, including messaging, transformations, and B2B communication (EDI, AS2, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with best practices, security policies, and integration standards.
• Be able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.

Skills/Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science.
• Proven experience with Microsoft BizTalk Server (2016/2020), including server setup, migration, and upgrades.
• 5+ years of experience in BizTalk application design, development, deployment, maintenance, and administration.
• Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong technical background in Windows Server, application support, security hardening, and performance tuning.
• Expertise in integration frameworks and messaging protocols, including Orchestrations, Transformations, Mapping, SOAP, REST, XML, XSLT, and JSON.
• Hands-on experience with BizTalk adapters (WCF, FTP, SAP, MSMQ, FILE, HTTP, SQL) and monitoring tools such as BizTalk360, SCOM, and/or Dynatrace.
• Experience in CI/CD, DevOps, Automation, .NET.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in IIS, .NET Framework, PowerShell scripting, Host Integration Service (HIS), and SQL Server.
• Experience acting in a consultancy role.
• Experience in a similar Lead/Senior role.
• Proven experience in PC, server, and network administration and support.
• Familiarity with database development and SaaS integration.
