Job Summary:

The Assistant to the Director provides administrative and organisational support to ensure the smooth operation of the Director's office. Responsibilities include managing schedules, coordinating meetings, preparing reports, and facilitating communication with stakeholders. The role requires professionalism, discretion, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment. This position is crucial in helping the Director implement strategic priorities and maintain daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle client intake, discovery, scheduling, and litigation file setup
  • Draft deposition notices, interrogatories, and litigation documents
  • File summons, complaints, and court documents
  • Maintain legal calendars and organise case files
  • Master the firm's case management system

Operational Support (Ongoing):

  • Manage the law firm's daily operations and coordinate the team
  • Oversee legal workflows and ensure compliance with internal processes
  • Lead paralegals and support staff, ensuring effective communication and task execution
  • Track KPIs, optimise processes, and support overall firm efficiency
  • Handle legal research, document drafting, and quality assurance

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in law (commercial litigation, collections, enforcement, etc.)
  • Experience with contract drafting, case handling, and legal documentation
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and law practice management software
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to lead and learn simultaneously
