Software Test Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Software Test Engineer to join our team. As a Software Test Engineer, you are the quality advocate in your Agile team and you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and automating software tests in an Agile environment. We expect you to have knowledge in STLC. You will work closely with the development team. We expect you to be proactive, to enjoy working in a team of like-minded professionals, and to provide feedback on others\' code as well as act on feedback received on yours.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the "3 Amigos" - pair with the PO and Developer and create Acceptance Criteria for the user stories
• Review the acceptance criteria and identify the test scenarios
• Provide test estimates during sprint planning
• Design Test Automation Framework
• Develop automated acceptance tests for the features
• Develop and implement integration, regression, and system tests for the new features
• Create and maintain test data and test environment needed for testing
• Log defects and track them
• Conduct exploratory testing as part of every sprint
• Develop automated tests for non-functional testing
• Ensure that tasks are delivered on time and of high quality

Qualifications

• Approximately 4 years of experience in software testing
• 1+ years of hands-on experience in automation testing
• Good understanding of OOP development practices with Java or similar
• Ability to use a version control system and follow the guidelines and the branching strategy in place
• Familiarity with design patterns
• Knowledge in BDD methodology
• Acceptance Test Automation with Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber or similar
• Experience with relational or non-relational databases like SQL

Nice to have

• Experience in automated API testing
• Ability to integrate automated acceptance tests into CI/CD pipeline
• Familiarity with CI tools like Jenkins
• Security and/or Performance testing hands-on experience
