Job Summary:

We're looking for a highly skilled and experiencedFull Stack Developer / IoT Architectto lead the development of a next-generationIoT platform for Android-based smartwatches. The platform will focus heavily onreal-time communication using MQTT, but also support broader protocols and device lifecycle management. Ideal candidates will bring a blend of backend, frontend, and system design experience with a strong grasp ofIoT architecture,device provisioning,messaging protocols, anddata pipelines.You will play a central role in designing and building secure, scalable services for device communication, monitoring, firmware/job management, and real-time data processing.

Responsibilities:

• Architect, design, and develop an end-to-endIoT platform for smartwatches
• Build and manageMQTT-based communication servicesfor real-time device interaction
• Handledevice onboarding, configuration, health checks, and provisioning workflows
• Develop secure RESTful APIs and WebSocket/MQTT services for two-way communication
• Build responsive frontend interfaces using Angular, React, or Next.js
• Design scalable and normalized PostgreSQL schemas with performance in mind
• Set up job/command dispatching, remote firmware updates, and OTA handling logic
• Ensure robust telemetry, error logging, and debugging capabilities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Firmware, DevOps, QA, Product)
• Conduct code reviews, write test cases, and enforce code quality practices
• Research and integrate device security best practices (authentication, encryption, etc.)
• Lead or mentor junior developers, and provide architectural guidance as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ yearsof full stack development experience withNode.js,PostgreSQL, andReact/Next
• Hands-on experience withPostgreSQL(query tuning, indexing, JSONB usage)
• Solid understanding ofdevice-cloud interaction, including heartbeat, telemetry, and remote commands
• Familiarity withTLS,JWT/OAuth2, and MQTT authentication mechanisms
• Experience withDocker,CI/CD,Git, and deployment automation
• Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and fault-tolerant architectures
• Ability to work independently and lead feature architecture from scratch

Nice to Have:

• Experience working withIoT brokerslikeEMQX,Mosquitto,HiveMQ, etc.
• Familiarity withAWS IoT Core,GCP IoT, orcustom MQTT deployments
• Knowledge ofedge devices,Android-based wearables, and embedded system constraints
• Experience withKafka,RabbitMQ,Redis, or other messaging and caching systems
• Exposure todevice shadowing,digital twins, anddevice management platforms
• Proficiency in writing unit/integration tests (Jest, Mocha, Jasmine)
• Familiarity withfirmware OTA workflowsor working with Android AOSP builds
• Strong debugging and performance profiling skills
