As a DevOps Engineer at Dubizzle, you will ensure our services are healthy, monitored, automated, and designed to scale. You'll work closely with our development teams from the early design stages through to resolving production issues, supporting a range of products with a focus on automation, availability, performance, and reliability.

Requirements
  1. Serve as the primary point responsible for the overall health, performance, efficiency, and capacity of our production environment.
  2. Participate in designing and implementing systems used to operate Dubizzle, emphasizing automation and maintainability at large scale.
  3. Experience in building large CI/CD pipelines (experience with Github Actions & Jenkins preferred).
  4. Collaborate with development teams on operational issues, providing support and acting as a stakeholder.
  5. Maintain production-like environments for development and testing to ensure fast and reliable development experiences.
  6. Develop monitoring tools for custom applications in large-scale environments.
  7. Troubleshoot issues across hardware, software, application, and network stacks.
  8. Migrate applications from legacy environments with minimal downtime.
  9. Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
  10. Document system designs and procedures.
Experience & Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with significant DevOps experience.
  2. AWS Solutions Architect certification.
  3. 5+ years supporting high-volume, customer-facing hosted services.
  4. Experience with DevOps tools, processes, culture, distributed systems, and mission-critical support.
  5. Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Github Actions.
  6. Ability to program/utilize high-level languages like Go, Ruby, Python, and Bash.
  7. 4+ years managing infrastructure at scale with Kubernetes.
  8. Experience migrating from traditional stacks to AWS EKS or similar.
