Overview

Role Overview: As the Associate Manager Accounts, you will play a critical role in overseeing day-to-day accounting functions, assisting with the preparation of financial statements, and managing financial records. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate reporting and compliance with accounting standards. This position is remote, offering flexibility to work in a dynamic and results-driven environment.

Reporting Structure
  • Reports to: Finance Manager / Director
  • Direct Reports: Accounts team (if applicable)
Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and accuracy.
  • General Ledger Management: Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage the accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
  • Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations.
  • Cash Flow & Treasury Management: Monitor and manage company cash flow, ensuring sufficient funds are available for operations and identifying opportunities for optimization.
  • Audit & Compliance: Prepare financial documentation and assist in both internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Expense Management: Review and analyze company expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide insights on financial performance, helping management to make informed decisions about business strategies and operations.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting processes.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • ACCA, CA, ICAEW, or any equivalent professional qualification (pursuing or qualified).
  • Completion of required articles/firm term as part of the qualification.

Experience:

  • 4-6 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on general accounting, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
  • Preferred: Candidates with experience from Big4 audit firms will be highly preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or similar).
  • Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.

Communication:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and management effectively.
