Location: Lahore, Pakistan

Experience: 8+ years

We are looking for an experienced and technically proficient Senior SQL Server DBA to join our growing team we are seeking someone with exceptional skills in database administration, optimization, cloud migration (Azure), and high availability strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize SQL Server databases across development, staging, and production environments.
  • Plan and execute migrations from on-premise to Azure Cloud using tools like DMA, DMS, and Replication.
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for SQL deployments using GitLab or similar tools.
  • Ensure high availability (HADR) through Always on Availability Groups, geo-replication, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Collaborate with data teams to implement BI and ETL solutions (SSIS, SSRS, Power BI).
  • Monitor and resolve performance issues using tools like Query Store, Extended Events, and SQL Profiler.
  • Apply data security measures including encryption, masking, and GDPR compliance.
  • Mentor junior team members and collaborate cross-functionally with developers, analysts, and infrastructure teams.

Skills & Tools:

  • ETL & BI: SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Power BI, Kyubit BI
  • Scripting: T-SQL, PowerShell, Bash, Korn, Perl

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of hands-on DBA experience with progressive responsibilities.
  • Proven experience in cloud migration (Azure/AWS).
  • Strong grasp of high availability and disaster recovery concepts.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and sprint-based development.

Microsoft certifications (MCSA SQL Server, Azure) or equivalent are a plus
