The Creative Designer will be responsible for capturing and editing video content, mobile photography, and visual documentation of school activities, events, and impact stories. This includes shooting with mobile devices, editing videos for digital platforms, and supporting graphic design tasks such as social media posts, reports, and presentations. The ideal candidate should have strong video editing skills, a good eye for photography, and basic graphic design knowledge.

Role Summary:

The Creative Designer will be responsible for capturing and editing video content, mobile photography, and visual documentation of school activities, events, and impact stories. This includes shooting with mobile devices, editing videos for digital platforms, and supporting graphic design tasks such as social media posts, reports, and presentations. The ideal candidate should have strong video editing skills, a good eye for photography, and basic graphic design knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Video Editing & Production (Primary Focus)
  2. Capture and edit high-quality videos for social media, donor communications, and events.
  3. Edit footage into short and long videos with subtitles, sound, and basic animation.
  4. Collaborate on storyboarding and developing concepts for storytelling videos and campaigns.
  5. Photography (Primary Focus)
  6. Take compelling photos of classrooms, events, and community programs using a mobile phone.
  7. Prioritize dignity, authenticity, and storytelling in visuals.
  8. Organize and maintain visual archives for easy access.
  9. Graphic Design (Support)
  10. Design social media posts, posters, flyers, and internal materials following brand guidelines.
  11. Support campaign and event visuals.
  12. Work with the Marketing Manager to ensure visual consistency across platforms.
  13. Assist leadership with visual materials for presentations and documentation.
  14. Social Media & Digital Content Coordination
  15. Coordinate with the team for timely content creation and publishing based on a content calendar.
  16. Share drafts for approval before posting.
  17. Be available for event coverage, including evenings or weekends.
  18. Content Management & Archiving
  19. Maintain organized digital archives on Google Drive.
  20. Implement version control and proper file naming.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Media Sciences, Communication, Design, or related field.
  • 2–4 years experience in video editing and content creation.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, InShot, or similar tools.
  • Strong visual storytelling, composition, and pacing skills.
  • Experience with mobile video and photography in real-time settings.
  • Basic graphic design skills using Canva, Photoshop, or Illustrator.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Understanding of social media trends and digital storytelling.
