Job Summary

A Senior Software Engineer for Python at Creative Chaos is responsible for developing server applications across various platforms, including writing Restful APIs for client consumption. The role involves ensuring the functionality, security, and performance of server applications are aligned with design specifications and are bug-free. Senior engineers are also expected to mentor juniors and strengthen the team through training.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Analyze business requirements

  • Optimize code for security and performance
  • Maintain systems by fixing issues
  • Update issue tracking software
  • Provide status updates
  • Communicate with clients
  • Manage code versions

  • Upgrade skills and knowledge
  • Evaluate candidates for open positions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
  • 3-6 years of relevant industry experience
  • Extensive experience with Python and Flask framework
  • Proficiency in Microsoft technologies
  • Experience with Azure and AWS
  • Experience in backend development and Restful APIs
  • Understanding of security standards and compliance
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
  • Ability to design database structures
  • Experience with unit testing and achieving at least 90% coverage
  • Familiarity with GitHub, JIRA, and collaboration tools
  • Understanding of fundamental design principles
  • Basic knowledge of front-end technologies
  • Flexible, versatile, and good communication skills
