KBM, a reputed UK-based Chartered Certified Accountants firm part of a group of companies providing services in the fields of Accountancy, Taxation, Consultancy, Payroll, and Automotive financial solutions to its UK-based clients, with its Head Office in London and an established international office in Lahore, Pakistan, invites applications for the position of Experienced Accountant to be based in our Lahore office to manage the work done for the UK office.

The Role

  1. Oversee and manage a team of bookkeeping.
  2. Oversee the delivery of quality information to senior managers and other departments within the practice.
  3. Build relationships throughout the practice to ensure cohesive working between the bookkeeping team and departments such as accounts, payroll, and tax.
  4. Identify and deliver process improvements and drive positive change, focusing on efficiencies and output alongside the Director.
  5. Review VAT returns, bookkeeping files, and supporting schedules.
  6. Resolve internal and external queries arising from bookkeeping review.
  7. Review detailed management accounts.
  8. Deliver training, guidance, and development of the team.
  9. Possess excellent VAT knowledge, including:
  • Cash Accounting
  • Partial Exemption
  • Flat Rate Scheme
  • Margin Scheme
  • Export/Import VAT and Duty
  • Property Rules
Prepare FRS 102 1A standard accounts and FRS 105 accounts.Produce draft tax computations and provisions for inclusion in the accounts.Fulfil any relevant additional/ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.

Job Specification

Experienced in following accounting software:

  1. Excellent knowledge of Xero essential.
  2. Excellent knowledge of Sage Line 50.
  3. Intermediate/advanced knowledge of Excel essential.
  4. Good knowledge of QuickBooks preferable but not essential.
