About the Role:

We're hiring a Data Scientist who doesn't just crunch numbers — but builds the backbone of outbound sales by sourcing, optimizing, and strategizing high-conversion lead data for e-commerce and Amazon-based businesses.

This is not your typical data role. You'll work at the core of revenue generation, driving decisions with real-time intelligence, and crafting data strategies that fuel startup scalability. Key Responsibilities

Lead Data Acquisition & Research

• Source and build highly targeted datasets for SaaS, Fintech & E-commerce sellers via tools, APIs, scraping, and open data platforms.
• Enrich lead data with critical sales metrics like niche/category, revenue signals, time zone, decision-maker contact, store URLs, social presence, etc.
• Design lead-gen pipelines using platforms like Clay, Apollo, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.

Data Structuring, Validation & Governance

• Clean, validate, and deduplicate large data sets to ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality.
• Build workflows for recurring data refresh, relevance scoring, and lead prioritization.
• Implement data tagging, segmentation, and classification strategies aligned with each client niche.

Automation & Smart Tooling

• Develop and manage data collection automation scripts (e.g., Selenium, Puppeteer, APIs).
• Explore and integrate emerging AI or scraping tools to streamline data acquisition.
• Create SOPs and reusable systems to minimize data sourcing costs while maximizing output.

Business Enablement & Collaboration

• Work closely with Sales & Client Strategy teams to deeply understand business verticals and create niche-specific lead funnels.
• Own the data feedback loop: analyze outreach outcomes, iterate, and optimize data sourcing approaches.
• Act as a data consultant, helping shape the client onboarding and sales targeting process using data logic.

Data-Driven Impact Reporting

• Monitor the performance of each lead list across campaigns, report insights on conversion likelihood and volume.
• Build dashboards and trackers in Sheets or BI tools for internal team visibility.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2–4 years experience in Data Science, Data Analytics, Data Engineering or Growth/Data Ops (B2B or SaaS domain preferred).
• Hands-on with scraping, enrichment, automation, and data strategy.
• Proficient with:

1. Scraping tools/APIs: BeautifulSoup, Selenium, Puppeteer
2. Data tools: SQL, Python, Sheets, Excel, Google BigQuery
3. CRM & Sales Tools: Monday, Pipedrive, Salesforce, Apollo, ZoomInfo

• Working knowledge of Ecommerce marketplace data signals is a plus.
• Strong analytical and logical reasoning with ability to turn abstract problems into structured solutions.
• Proven experience managing complex data workflows with low overhead and high impact.
• Clear communicator who can present complex findings to non-technical teams.
• Self-starter mindset, proactive, resourceful, and owns the mission like a business co-founder.

Base Pay: $250 - $500 USD / mo
