AI ML Engineer

As an AI ML engineer at Burq, you will design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and data pipelines. You will own projects from problem definition to production, collaborating with data engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders to create scalable, impactful solutions. Your expertise will be vital in managing our data infrastructure and delivering high-quality AI/ML projects.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python
  • Experience with data integration tools like Airbyte
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and hands-on experience with Snowflake
  • Experience with data transformation tools such as dbt
  • Proficiency in Databricks and Apache Spark for big data processing and machine learning
  • Familiarity with Delta Lake for data lake management
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau
  • Experience with relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Autonomous individual contributor mindset
  • Knowledge of machine learning libraries/frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-Learn
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Relevant certifications in data engineering, machine learning, or cloud technologies

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models using Databricks and Apache Spark
  • Implement data preprocessing, feature engineering, and training pipelines
  • Use dbt to transform and model data in Snowflake for machine learning datasets
  • Analyze large datasets with SQL and Python to derive insights and build training data
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends and anomalies
  • Develop and maintain ETL pipelines with Airbyte
  • Manage data storage with Delta Lake on Databricks for efficient ML access
  • Create dashboards and visualizations in Tableau for stakeholder communication
  • Collaborate with data scientists to improve models
  • Monitor and evaluate model performance, ensuring standards are met
  • Work with relational databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL
  • Effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
