PG ENTERPRISE (PVT) LTD is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality and Compliance Manager for our newly established PRIME SALT Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and compliance related to raw materials (RM) and finished goods (FG) in our salt production process. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring that materials meet regulatory standards and internal specifications while maintaining the highest quality and performance.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in laboratory operations, quality management, and salt production, with a strong understanding of compliance standards in the manufacturing and food industries.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance and Control:

  • Manage quality control systems for raw materials (RM) and finished goods (FG) to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections throughout the salt production process.
  • Collaborate with the production team to monitor and verify that production processes meet quality standards.
  • Ensure products are manufactured in line with established specifications and regulatory requirements.

Compliance Monitoring:

  • Ensure all production activities comply with national and international regulatory standards, including food safety, environmental, and industry-specific guidelines.
  • Stay updated with regulatory changes and ensure company compliance with evolving quality and safety standards.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor corrective action plans when deviations or non-compliance issues arise.

Lab and Testing Management:

  • Supervise laboratory testing of raw materials and finished goods to ensure quality, consistency, and performance.
  • Ensure all testing is conducted following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and properly documented for traceability.
  • Analyze test results, report findings, and recommend improvements as necessary.

Process Improvement:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements in quality and compliance management.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and improve operational efficiency.

Training and Development:

  • Provide training and support to staff on quality standards, compliance regulations, and laboratory practices.
  • Foster a culture of quality across the organization, ensuring all employees understand and uphold compliance procedures.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive records of all quality control, testing, and compliance activities.
  • Generate regular reports on material performance and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Prepare compliance reports for external audits and regulatory bodies.
Key Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum of 02 years of experience in quality management, compliance, and laboratory operations, preferably in salt production or a related industry.
  • Familiarity with salt production processes and associated regulatory frameworks.
  • Prior experience in managing compliance with food safety standards, quality certifications (e.g., ISO, HACCP), and relevant industry regulations.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • A Master's degree or relevant quality management certifications would be an advantage.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, testing techniques, and compliance standards in manufacturing.
  • Ability to analyze data and interpret results to make informed decisions about product quality.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to address quality issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and report to senior management.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) or other relevant quality certifications.
  • HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) certification or equivalent.
