Job Purpose:

Manage the Site Quality Control laboratories—covering incoming materials testing, finished products testing, and microbiological testing—to ensure compliance with the Haleon Quality Management System and all relevant regulatory and legislative requirements across the product lifecycle at Jamshoro.

Establish and maintain the Quality System for the laboratories, ensure SOPs are in place, and uphold cGMP compliance through training, self-inspections, and audits. Monitor KPIs and KQIs for laboratory performance.

Operate the laboratories in a cost-effective, efficient, and innovative manner, focusing on productivity improvement and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage various laboratory testing activities, ensuring all personnel are trained and equipment is current and qualified, complying with validated methods and specifications.
  • Plan and execute testing of samples and materials as per specifications.
  • Maintain service standards for internal and external customers, optimizing workflows to enhance cycle time, productivity, and quality.
  • Integrate Haleon QMS, GMP, ICH, ISO standards, and local regulations into policies and procedures, ensuring timely document review and compliance.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs and QPIs, assessing performance data and implementing improvement actions.
  • Foster strong internal and external customer relationships, sharing best practices.
  • Set departmental objectives aligned with global quality and business initiatives, linking them to individual goals.
  • Use performance reviews and talent management to maintain a high-performing team, including succession planning.
  • Support investigations, troubleshooting, and audit preparations, minimizing product impact.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, environmental, health, and safety policies, and other applicable laws and standards.
  • Perform additional duties as required by the business.
Skills and Competencies:
  • 10-15 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong planning, organization, and communication skills.
  • Proactive, independent, and collaborative work approach.
  • Ability to prioritize and work under pressure.
  • Detail-oriented with a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Understanding of regulatory and business contexts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
