IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

Be responsible for developing and executing merchandising strategies to enhance brand visibility, drive consumer engagement, and support sales growth. This role involves working closely with sales, business development, and market intelligence teams to optimize product placement, promotional materials, and in-store branding across various sales channels. The role requires a keen understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, and industry best practices to ensure effective merchandising execution.

HOW CAN YOU EXPRESS YOUR TALENT

Merchandising Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement merchandising plans to enhance product visibility and sales performance.
  • Ensure effective in-store and online merchandising in alignment with brand guidelines and business objectives.
  • Coordinate with regional teams to ensure uniform execution of merchandising initiatives across all sales channels.

Point-of-Sale (POS) Material Management:

  • Plan, design, and distribute POS materials, including displays, banners, and promotional merchandise.
  • Ensure timely deployment and replenishment of merchandising materials across retail outlets and distribution points.
  • Work with external vendors for the production and procurement of merchandising assets.

Sales Channel Support:

  • Collaborate with sales teams to enhance merchandising efforts that drive conversions and improve customer experience.
  • Provide guidance on store layouts, shelf placements, and visual merchandising to maximize consumer engagement.
  • Monitor compliance with merchandising standards across sales channels.

Market Analysis & Competitive Benchmarking:

  • Conduct market research to identify emerging merchandising trends and consumer preferences.
  • Benchmark merchandising strategies against competitors and suggest improvements.
  • Analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of merchandising initiatives and adjust strategies accordingly.

Collaboration with Business Development & Market Intelligence Teams:

  • Work closely with the Assistant Manager Business Development to align merchandising efforts with overall sales and expansion strategies.
  • Coordinate with the Assistant Manager Market Intelligence to leverage insights on customer behavior and market trends for merchandising decisions.
  • Support trade marketing activities and promotional campaigns with effective merchandising solutions.

Performance Tracking & Reporting:

  • Monitor and analyze merchandising effectiveness through sales data and customer feedback.
  • Prepare reports on merchandising impact and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Present merchandising performance updates to senior management.

Budget & Vendor Management:

  • Assist in managing the merchandising budget, ensuring cost-effective execution of initiatives.
  • Identify and negotiate with vendors for merchandising materials, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Maintain records of expenditures and report budget utilization to senior management.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.

Experience: 1-3 years of experience in merchandising, trade marketing, or sales support, preferably in the telecom or FMCG industry.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of merchandising principles, retail marketing, and POS strategies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, merchandising software, and data analysis tools.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Creativity and attention to detail in executing merchandising initiatives.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
