Job Summary:We are looking for a talented and creative Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for storytelling, with the ability to transform raw footage into compelling visual narratives that resonate with audiences. Staying up-to-date with the latest trends in social media video editing and applying them effectively will be a key aspect of this role. You will be responsible for enhancing video quality, adding sound effects, graphics, special effects, and collaborating with the creative team to bring concepts to life.
Responsibilities:- Edit and assemble raw video footage into engaging, high-quality content that tells a powerful story.
- Collaborate with creative directors, producers, and other team members to understand project requirements, storytelling goals, and desired outcomes.
- Enhance video quality using color correction, grading, audio enhancement, and advanced editing techniques.
- Add graphics, animations, subtitles, and special effects to enhance storytelling and audience engagement.
- Stay updated with the latest social media video trends, editing styles, and storytelling techniques, applying them creatively to projects.
- Maintain organization of project files and adhere to established file naming conventions.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects while meeting quality standards.
- Suggest innovative editing solutions to enhance content quality and viewer engagement.
- Continuously iterate and improve based on feedback from stakeholders.
- Proven experience as a Video Editor with a strong portfolio showcasing storytelling abilities and trend-conscious editing.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.
- Knowledge of motion graphics and animation software (e.g., After Effects) is a plus.
- Familiarity with sound design and editing.
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling, pacing, and social media aesthetics.
- Passion for staying current with industry trends and applying new techniques to enhance storytelling.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Degree in Film Studies, Cinematography, Visual Arts, or related field (preferred, but not required)
