Principal Engineer, Maintenance, CWP

As Principal Engineer, Maintenance you will be responsible for planning, monitoring and controlling the operation, maintenance, project functions, resources and staff with invaluable knowledge in an effective and efficient manner.

• Operation & Maintenance – Possess comprehensive expertise in the operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, civil, and utility systems, including but not limited to compressors, cooling tower, pumps, gears, conveyors, sifters, dryers, elevators, mills, centrifuges, fans, motors, LT/HT switchgears, generators, 132 KV grid stations, and basic knowledge of instrumentation & PLC/DCS systems. Well versed in maintenance methodologies such as Reliability Centered Maintenance, Condition Based Maintenance & Time Bound Maintenance.
• Project Management – Capable of designing mechanical and electrical systems along with time-to-time modifications to cater to process requirements. Must have project management knowledge to handle capex projects and meet project timelines through effective control of cash flows.
• Inventory Management – Strong knowledge of inventory management systems; evaluate critical store items to keep machines in operation, evaluate QEMs for material selection, and follow up on deliveries through development of a critical machine parts list and regular status updates.
• Contractor Management – Capable of dealing with contractors to execute project jobs, meet timelines within allocated budget. Development of contracts for petty jobs, evaluation of contractor bids, QEMs and their billings are mandatory.
• People Management – Ability to lead a team of mechanical, electrical, instrument, Utilities & Civil, develop coordination among intra- and inter-departments, provide awareness of best working practices, guide staff in technical matters and build teams for effectiveness.
• Compliance of Company Policies – Responsible for compliance with company policies.
• Continuous Improvement – Share continuous improvement ideas to conserve energy through process optimization, prepare feasibility reports, BOQs, follow up on procurement of material and ensure safe execution of projects within stipulated time. Contract management will be mandatory.
• Stakeholder Management – Ensure compliance with employee training needs (TNA), enhance capability through classroom and field trainings, communicate and build relationships with stakeholders to meet business needs with high quality in a timely and cost-efficient manner. Ensure close coordination with procurement for developing low-cost substitutes of import items.

• Degree B. Tech / B.Sc. / M.Sc. Engineering Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics
• Minimum 20 years' (B. Tech) / 10 years' (B.Sc. / M.Sc.) experience in O&M
• Prior work experience in Petro-chemical / Fertilizer / Process / Food / Cement Industry
• In-depth knowledge of O&M of Mechanical & Electrical Systems; working knowledge of Maintenance methodologies, reliability management and people development
• Sound knowledge of ERP systems including SAP, Lean Six Sigma, MS Office, ETAB, AutoCAD & Power BI to carry out Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
• Good understanding of international standards of EHS, IMS, GPM, ISO & Food Safety etc.
