The Role Description:

We are looking for a skilled Laravel Developer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. As a Laravel Developer, you will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, ensuring the seamless functionality and performance of web applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong track record in building custom, complex web applications and utilizing modern web technologies, including Laravel, PHP, Amazon Web Services, and front-end frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize web applications using PHP (Laravel).
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance back-end systems.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues.
  • Optimize application performance and database queries for speed and efficiency.
  • Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure a seamless user experience.
  • Implement security measures to protect applications from vulnerabilities.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Requirements:

Skills and Experience:

  • At least 4+ years experience with Laravel.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to do some frontend work.
  • Experience with Linux and AWS is appreciated.
  • Proficiency with Git.
  • Experience with automated testing (TDD or semi-TDD) is appreciated.
  • Ability to work independently with high autonomy.
  • Experience leading projects with internal and external teams, and hands-on problem solving.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain, argue, and persuade stakeholders.
  • Experience working with APIs.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with shopping carts like Shopify, WooCommerce, eBay, Amazon FBM, etc.
  • Experience with Laravel Forge and AWS EC2.
  • Understanding of server administration, networking, and infrastructure scaling.
  • Ability to work during EST timezone hours.
  • Experience with Vue.js.
  • Background knowledge of logistics, transportation, or warehousing is a plus.
