About the Project:

We are developing a cutting-edge mobile and web application designed to revolutionize SMS and email marketing for businesses. Our goal is to create a user-friendly platform that empowers users to seamlessly manage and optimize their marketing campaigns, driving engagement and increasing conversion rates. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Full-Stack MERN Developer with PROVEN, DIRECT experience building and maintaining SMS/email marketing platforms, marketing automation tools, or similar communication platforms.

Crucially, we need someone who has already navigated the complexities of integrating with SMS gateways, email providers, and CRM systems, and who understands the specific challenges of building scalable and reliable marketing communication software. Your portfolio will be the primary way we assess this experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of both the frontend and backend of our SMS/email marketing platform using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).
  • Architect and implement scalable and robust RESTful APIs for seamless data exchange.
  • Design and optimize MongoDB database schemas, ensuring high performance and data integrity.
  • Develop complex and intuitive user interfaces using React.js, focusing on user experience and accessibility.
  • Integrate with various third-party services, including SMS gateways, email providers (e.g., Twilio, SendGrid, Mailchimp), and CRM systems, based on previous direct experience. Your portfolio should clearly illustrate these integrations.
  • Implement advanced features such as campaign automation, segmentation, and analytics, leveraging prior experience in similar platforms. Detailed examples in your portfolio are essential.
  • Ensure code quality through rigorous testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to marketing communication platforms.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers.
  • Contribute to the overall architecture and technical direction of the platform.
  • Deploy and manage the application on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

Qualifications:

  • REQUIRED: Extensive experience (5+ years) in full-stack MERN development.
  • ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED: Proven, demonstrable experience building and maintaining SMS/email marketing platforms, marketing automation tools, or similar communication platforms. This MUST be clearly evident in your portfolio.
  • Deep understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
  • Expertise in MongoDB database design and optimization.
  • Advanced proficiency in React.js, including state management and performance optimization.
  • Strong experience with Node.js and Express.js for backend development.
  • Proven ability to integrate with third-party APIs and services specific to marketing communication (SMS, email, CRM). Your portfolio should showcase these integrations in detail.
  • Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and deployment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies.
  • Portfolio of relevant projects DIRECTLY demonstrating experience with similar platforms is MANDATORY. The portfolio will be the primary factor in determining candidate suitability.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with mobile app development (React Native).
  • Knowledge of marketing automation best practices.
  • Experience with data analytics and reporting tools.
  • Contributions to open-source projects related to marketing or communication platforms.
  • Experience with security best practices for web applications.
