DevOps Engineer

• CI/CD Pipeline Ownership: Design, build, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Travis CI to enable rapid, reliable software delivery.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop, manage, and version infrastructure using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar; enforce repeatable, scalable environments.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Lead containerization strategies with Docker and orchestrate at scale with Kubernetes (including EKS, AKS, or GKE).
• Cloud Platform Management: Architect and maintain secure, cost-efficient solutions on AWS, Azure, and/or GCP; optimize resource utilization and implement cloud security best practices.
• Automation & Scripting: Write automation scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Ruby) to eliminate manual processes in provisioning, deployment, configuration, and operations.
• Monitoring & Observability: Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, etc.) to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Configuration Management: Manage environments consistently using Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Security & Compliance: Integrate security practices into the CI/CD pipeline (DevSecOps); conduct vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Mentorship & Leadership: Mentor junior DevOps engineers, promote best practices, and drive DevOps adoption across teams; lead cross-functional projects and initiatives.
• Incident Management: Lead incident response efforts; perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
• Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve DevOps workflows, tools, and strategies; stay current with emerging DevOps trends and technologies.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or related roles.
• 3+ years of experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.).
• 3+ years of experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• 2+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Experience with monitoring and logging stacks (Prometheus, ELK, Grafana, etc.).

Certifications (Preferred)

• Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD).
• Certifications in security (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA Security+) or IT service management (ITIL).

Technical Skills

• Scripting & Programming: Proficiency in Python, Bash, Ruby, or PowerShell; familiarity with Go or Java.
• Version Control: Deep knowledge of Git and Git workflows.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi.
• Configuration Management: Ansible, Chef, Puppet.
• Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP; knowledge of cloud networking, security, and cost management.
• Databases: Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases; understanding of data replication and clustering.
• Networking: Load balancing, DNS, SSL/TLS, VPNs, firewalls, and network protocols.
• Security: DevSecOps practices, vulnerability scanning, IAM, security hardening.

Bonus Skills

• Experience with GitOps workflows and tools (ArgoCD, Flux).
• Knowledge of service mesh (Istio, Linkerd).
