Position Overview

The Development and Communications Manager will play a crucial role in securing funding and raising awareness for Aurattech's mission. This position is responsible for managing the grant proposal process, developing outreach strategies, and creating compelling marketing materials that tell our story. The ideal candidate will be a skilled writer with experience in nonprofit development who is passionate about advancing women in technology.

Key ResponsibilitiesGrant Management (50%)

• Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with Aurattech's mission and programs
• Develop and write compelling grant proposals, applications, and reports
• Create and maintain a grants calendar to track deadlines and reporting requirements
• Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary data and impact stories
• Maintain relationships with current funders and develop new funding partnerships

Communications & Marketing (30%)

• Develop and implement communications and marketing strategies to increase awareness
• Create compelling content for website, social media, newsletters, and other channels
• Design visually appealing marketing materials that effectively convey our mission and impact
• Maintain consistent brand messaging across all platforms
• Track and analyze communications metrics to optimize outreach efforts

Outreach & Relationship Building (20%)

• Represent Aurattech at community events, conferences, and networking opportunities
• Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including potential donors and partners
• Collaborate with program staff to identify and share success stories
• Support the development of partnerships with tech companies and educational institutions

QualificationsRequired

• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, nonprofit management, or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in nonprofit development, grant writing, or communications
• Proven track record of successful grant applications and reporting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and project management abilities
• Proficiency with digital marketing tools and social media platforms
• Experience with CRM systems and donor management

Preferred

• Knowledge of or experience in tech education, STEM fields, or women's empowerment initiatives
• Understanding of gender-specific barriers in technology and education
• Experience with event planning and coordination
• Graphic design skills and familiarity with design software
• Data analysis skills to track and communicate program impact

Compensation & Benefits
