The QA engineer's responsibilities include designing and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions. SQA will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g., defect densities and open defect counts). Ultimately, SQA should monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in and review requirements and specifications during sprint planning, providing additional information to ensure test coverage.
  • Build, recommend, and maintain appropriate frameworks to automate test scenarios.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Convert manual regression scenarios to automated test cases.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities during SDLC.
  • Ensure automated tests are integrated and reliably executed in CI/CD environments.
  • Work as a member of an Agile SCRUM team delivering high-quality software in two-week sprints.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and thoroughly document issues during bug tracking.
  • Perform functional and non-functional testing to support the development team.
  • Think creatively to reproduce and recreate issues.
  • Act independently and define tasks to initiate QA efforts in an Agile team.
  • Document software issues and enhancement requests, providing concise and detailed steps for defect reproduction during manual functional, integration, and regression tests.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of solid experience in software test automation.
  • Expertise in automation tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium.
  • Experience with Rest Assured Framework and API testing.
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, testing types, tools, and processes.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with project tracking tools.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
