About the Role

We're looking for a Digital Community Coordinator who's part strategist, part storyteller, and all heart. This person will be on the digital frontlines, engaging with travelers, adventurers, and everyday explorers across our online platforms. They'll turn reviews into relationships, questions into conversations, and comments into community.

This isn't just about responding—it's about connecting. You'll bring wit, warmth, and wisdom to every interaction, ensuring our brand voice is felt, heard, and loved. If you thrive on digital dialogue, have an ear for nuance, and a talent for making people feel seen, we want to talk to you.

What You'll Do

• Respond to traveler reviews across digital channels (Google, TripAdvisor, Yelp, OTA platforms, etc.) with a mix of empathy, professionalism, and personality.
• Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and DMs across all active social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, LinkedIn).
• Engage actively in community forums —both branded and third-party travel/lifestyle forums (like Reddit, Lonely Planet's Thorn Tree, etc.)—to build trust, offer value, and become a recognized voice in that space.
• Be a tone guardian. Ensure all responses reflect the brand's values and voice—smart, kind, witty, and approachable.
• Spot trends in feedback and flag opportunities or concerns to relevant internal teams (e.g., product, customer service, marketing).
• Work closely with the content and social teams to share insights and help shape campaigns based on real-time community input.
• Contribute to FAQ and response templates that allow for efficiency without sacrificing authenticity.
• Track engagement KPIs and report on community sentiment, common questions, and content opportunities.

Who You Are

• A natural communicator with exceptional writing chops—especially in short form.
• Emotionally intelligent and thoughtful—you know how to read the room (even when it's digital).
• Quick-witted with a strong sense of humor and timing, but never at the expense of empathy or professionalism.
• Comfortable navigating sensitive topics and turning challenging interactions into positive brand moments.
• Self-aware and adaptable, able to shift your tone depending on the channel or situation.
• Proactive and curious—you love digging into online communities, finding conversations, and adding value.
• A team player who collaborates well but is confident flying solo when needed.

Preferred Experience

• 2–4 years in a community management, social media, or customer engagement role.
• Experience working in travel, hospitality, or a lifestyle brand is a plus.
• Familiarity with tools like Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Zendesk, Google Reviews, Yelp for Business, and forum platforms (Reddit, Discord, etc.)
• Bonus: You've been an active member or moderator in an online forum or group.
