Our organization, a progressive software house located at Defense Main Boulevard Lahore, is looking for an ACCA Trainee Accountant to assist the Accounts and Finance Manager.

The ideal candidate should be an ACCA Student with at least 9 papers passed, an ACCA finalist, or ACCA part-qualified. Experience in the relevant field in well-reputed organizations will be a good advantage.

The candidate should have knowledge of accounting and finance and shall assist the Finance Manager in the overall implementation of company finance policies, performance evaluation of admin staff, maintaining books of accounts, taxation, and other related admin/finance functions. The goal is to contribute to the overall efficient operation of the department and help the company be fully aware of its financial condition.

Note: Our timings are from 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM. All candidates must consider these timings before applying. Candidates with previous IT software house experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Finance Manager in formulating and implementing admin and finance policies and procedures.
  • Conduct performance appraisals of personnel and probation completion sessions related to the admin department.
  • Initiate disciplinary actions through investigation and resolve any issues or grievances among team members or personnel of admin staff.
  • Manage and supervise all resources and functions of all departments related to finance.
  • Prepare reports and analysis based on provided data.
  • Assist in the preparation of the cash book and bank book.
  • Assist in the preparation of salaries.
  • Support in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
  • Review expenses, payroll records, etc., as assigned.
  • Communicate with bank personnel on a daily basis.
  • Supervise and manage all day-to-day office administrative activities.
  • Implement policies and procedures for lower staff to ensure fair usage of company assets, code of ethics, and company policies.
  • Ensure quality work of office boys regarding finance.
  • Oversee security staff and ensure the safety of office stock and assets.
  • Handle all relevant external affairs of the company.
  • Manage daily routine purchasing for the company.
  • Update financial data in databases to ensure accuracy and availability when needed.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
  • Must be a business graduate in finance or related fields from an accredited university.
  • Must be actively pursuing ACCA qualification.
  • Basic knowledge of QuickBooks, bookkeeping, and double entry.
  • Good academic and conceptual understanding of finance functions, concepts, and theories.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned projects and tasks.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-learner and self-starter.
  • Utilize time effectively and efficiently.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
