Technical Leadership & Architecture
  • Drive the technical roadmap and architecture of our products, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and data science teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Oversee and guide development across major stacks: Laravel, Node.js, React.js, and Python.
SaaS Product Oversight
  • Lead product engineering efforts with a SaaS mindset — focusing on multi-tenancy, uptime, integrations, and platform reliability.
  • Ensure Shufti Pro's API-first architecture, modular microservices, and deployment strategies follow best practices.
  • Partner with Product Management to prioritize features and technical debt, focusing on time-to-market and regulatory requirements.
Team & People Management
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional engineering teams including backend, frontend, DevOps, QA, and data.
  • Build a culture of performance, innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify gaps in team capabilities and assist in recruitment, onboarding, and upskilling.
Security, Compliance & Quality
  • Ensure systems meet industry standards for security (ISO 27001, GDPR, PCI DSS) and compliance (AML/KYC regulations).
  • Embed security and quality practices across CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
  • Support regular audits, penetration testing, and code reviews.
Innovation & Strategy
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and frameworks for applicability to Shufti's vision.
  • Represent the tech team in strategic discussions with leadership, partners, and regulators.
  • Foster collaboration with AI/ML research teams for innovation in identity verification and fraud detection.
RequirementsTechnical Expertise
  • 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3-5 years in a technical leadership role.
  • Hands-on experience with the following stacks:
    • Backend: Laravel (PHP), Node.js, Python (Flask/Django)
    • Frontend: React.js
    • Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL
    • Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
    Product & Domain Knowledge
    • Experience building and scaling SaaS platforms, preferably in Fintech, RegTech, or Identity Verification domains.
    • Deep understanding of KYC/AML compliance, security protocols, data privacy regulations, and the global fintech ecosystem.
    Leadership & Management
    • Proven ability to manage cross-functional engineering teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, OKRs, and tech leadership principles.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
    • Certifications or specialization in cloud architecture, cybersecurity, or fintech regulations.
    • Previous experience in AI-driven product environments is a plus.
