THIS ROLE WILL BE BASED IN LAHORE, PUNJAB, PAKISTAN (PART-TIME, HYBRID)

The Opportunity:

The ideal candidate is a highly experienced and proactive Senior DevOps Engineer. You'll be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You'll drive automation, optimize system performance, and foster a culture of continuous integration and delivery, ensuring our software solutions are reliable and delivered efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure with a strong preference for Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Develop and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for automated software deployment and testing.
• Implement and manage containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and disaster recovery.
• Automate operational tasks and processes using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform.
• Ensure compliance with security best practices and industry standards.

What you will need to succeed:

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or a similar role.
• Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including services like GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine), Cloud Run / App Engine, Cloud SQL / BigQuery / Firestore, Cloud Monitoring & Logging (Stackdriver), IAM, VPC, Cloud Load Balancing, Cloud Functions, Cloud Build, Cloud Deploy, and Artifact Registry.
• Proficiency with Core Technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, MySQL, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform with GCP Provider, and Ansible.
• Expertise in CI/CD pipeline tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Bitbucket Pipelines.
• Proficiency in Bash / Python scripting for automation.
• Experience with Security & Secrets Management using tools like HashiCorp Vault or GCP Secret Manager, and knowledge of IAM best practices, SSL/TLS, OAuth, OIDC configurations.
• Experience with Monitoring, Logging & Alerting tools like ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) or cloud-native monitoring tools (Stackdriver).
• Strong command of Version Control & Collaboration using Git (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

It's great if you have:

• Basic understanding and acceptable experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) including services like EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service), EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, Route53, RDS (MySQL/Postgres), DynamoDB, Elastic Load Balancer, Lambda, and Elastic Container Registry (ECR).
• Experience with Docker Swarm (optional).
• Experience with Pulumi for IaC.
• Experience with AWS CloudFormation
• In-house Table Tennis
• Outpatient Medical Reimbursement (OMR)
