Job Summary:
The Credentialing Specialist will be responsible for enrolling and maintaining providers with insurance payers, ensuring all credentials are accurate, up to date, and compliant with industry standards. This role is ideal for someone with 1–2 years of experience in medical credentialing who thrives in a fast-paced environment and values precision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage initial credentialing and re-credentialing processes for healthcare providers.
- Submit and follow up on payer applications, CAQH profiles, NPI registrations, and related documentation.
- Monitor credentialing statuses and maintain detailed records using internal systems.
- Communicate with providers, insurance companies, and internal teams to resolve issues or obtain missing information.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and payer-specific guidelines.
- Assist with audits and provide documentation as needed.
Requirements:
- 1–2 years of experience in medical credentialing (preferably in a billing or healthcare setting).
- Familiarity with CAQH, NPPES, PECOS, and payer portals.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
