Operations Manager / Product Manager

We are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee our payment operational needs and enhance our processes. This role acts as a liaison to ensure smooth payment operations at Safepay, aligning with our mission to provide an exceptional payments experience for merchants.

Transitioning into a Product Manager role, you will own and drive a critical product and business problem throughout its lifecycle—identifying, prioritizing, solving, and designing go-to-market strategies. You will define roadmaps, run sprints, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure success. Our PMs are empowered to make decisions and are encouraged to innovate and learn from failures.

This role is based in Karachi, Pakistan, and is integral to developing and implementing our payments strategy.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to optimize payment processes, resolve issues, and track resolution.
  • Identify operational opportunities for performance improvements, cost savings, and risk mitigation.
  • Support operations during the launch of new payment methods and providers.
  • Manage relationships with global payment processors.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, data science, finance, customer support, legal, etc., to build a top-tier payment program.
  • Review transactions monthly to identify patterns or concerns and assist customer support with escalations.
As a Product Manager, your daily tasks will include:
  • Defining product strategy and quarterly roadmaps to achieve the vision and impact.
  • Conceptualizing products with a data-driven, problem-first approach, ensuring long-term value and prioritization.
  • Collaborating with engineering and design teams to develop customer-centric products, managing scope and timelines.
  • Creating and executing go-to-market plans with product marketing, advocating for your area of focus.
Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience with global payment systems and methods.
  • Experience in relationship management and strategic initiatives with partners.
  • Strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective project management and multitasking abilities.
  • High intellectual curiosity, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Motivated, disciplined, and autonomous work ethic.
  • Understanding of technology with a customer- and business-first mindset.
