Job Purpose

The position holder will manage and administer the Regulatory Reporting, MI Reporting & Analytical platform, this role requires with a deep understanding of Finance, Regulatory Reporting and data modeling. This role will maintain existing Regulatory reporting platform, management reporting and Customer profitability reporting. Additionally, this role may be responsible for data engineering and performance tuning of the existing processes.

Key result Areas

Regulatory and Analytical Platform Administration: Manage and administer the Finance Regulatory and Reporting Analytical platform, ensuring its reliability, performance, and alignment with business needs.

Data Management and Modeling: Design, develop, and maintain complex data models with multiple subject areas to support advanced analytics and reporting capabilities.

Requirement Gathering and Documentation: Engage with business users to gather requirements, document functional and technical specifications, and translate them into effective technical solutions.

Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Oversight: Manage all stages of the software development lifecycle, from planning and development to testing, deployment, and post-production support, adhering to stringent enterprise-level change management processes.

Testing and Deployment: Facilitate and manage SIT and UAT phases to ensure smooth project implementation and delivery.

Post-Production Support: Provide robust post-production support, addressing issues promptly and implementing performance optimizations to ensure system stability.

Cloud Services and Migration: Explore and implement opportunities to leverage cloud services and drive cloud migration initiatives where beneficial.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Develop comprehensive documentation for solution architecture, technical designs, and project details. Provide training and knowledge sharing for system users and team members.

Leadership and Independent Contribution: Lead projects independently, ensuring timely delivery of key milestones while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Technical Expertise:

  • 8 to 10 years of experience in Regulatory Reporting, with Deep understanding of Finance and banking.
  • Proficiency in PL/SQL and T-SQL, including experience with performance tuning of functions and procedures.
  • Proficiency of Informatica PowerCenter 10.x or SSIS is important.
  • Advanced-level expertise in Power BI will be an advantage.
  • An understanding of new technologies such as cloud services and experience with cloud migration will be advantageous
  • Good understanding of Hadoop data platform & data engineering tools will be an added advantage.
  • Experience with data modeling and tools like ERWIN or equivalent for handling complex data models.

Business and Analytical Skills:

  • Experience in engaging with business users for requirement gathering and documentation.
  • Clear understanding of SIT/UAT processes and their importance in project success.
  • Knowledge of finance and regulatory reporting processes is highly desirable.

Project Management and Leadership:

  • Proven ability to manage the complete life cycle of software development.
  • Experience working in large enterprises with stringent management processes.
  • Capability to independently lead projects and deliver high-quality results.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement and team collaboration.
  • Ability to work as an independent contributor while driving teamwork across functional areas.
  • Familiarity with cloud services and migration strategies.
  • Experience providing post-production support in large, complex environments.
