As an Infrastructure Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platforms team, you will utilize your knowledge of software, applications, and infrastructure engineering processes. You will work on multiple applications of moderate scope, applying your technical skills and problem-solving methodologies.

In our Network Rapid Response Team, your curiosity about technology will drive innovation and your career growth. You will collaborate with motivated technologists, manage production incidents, problems, change management, and communication, and contribute to product evolution and lifecycle management. Your expertise in network technologies will be essential in troubleshooting and resolving complex, mission-critical issues.

Job responsibilities
  • Apply technical knowledge to projects of moderate scope, focusing on improving data and systems at scale, with end-to-end application monitoring.
  • Determine appropriate escalation paths and resolve nuances.
  • Manage incidents, problems, changes, risks, vendor and client relationships, communications, service delivery, and lifecycle management.
  • Perform daily operational duties and define MIS requirements to support business processes.
  • Serve as the primary interface for customer issues and queries.
  • Demonstrate leadership, including management roles such as Team Leader or SME.
  • Coach and mentor less experienced team members and manage team responsibilities.
  • Develop organizational goals, priorities, and service objectives aligned with Global Technology strategy.
  • Create and update documentation.
  • Work independently using critical thinking skills.
  • Advocate for customers during infrastructure or business-critical issues.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training/certification in infrastructure disciplines and 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Network Proxy Technologies.
  • Expertise in network technologies such as Routing & Switching, IP Services, Data Center Technologies, and Optical networks.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure disciplines including hardware, networking, databases, storage, deployment, automation, resilience, and performance.
  • Experience in banking, exchange, or technology environments within global organizations.
  • Proficiency with protocol analyzers like Wireshark, Cpacket, etc., and tools like Splunk, SevOne, Thousand Eyes.
  • Ability to learn scripting languages such as Python or Ansible.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
