Plant Operations Specialist

Responsible for filling semi-finished lubricants into finished packs, including packaged products and drums. Ensure the availability of filling materials and coordinate with relevant departments such as Laboratory, Scheduler, Terminal Operator, HES specialist, and O&D to meet sales demand proactively.

Safety of personnel and equipment

  1. Conduct daily tailgate meetings with Filling & EPW workforce.
  2. Ensure the use of recommended PPEs and AHAS.
  3. Follow safe work practices and exercise Stop Work Authority when necessary.
  4. Maintain knowledge of hierarchy of controls and comply with Work Instructions, JLAs, SOPs, and standards.
  5. Implement observations from NLIs, SLTs, Walkabouts, and Safeguard assurance.
  6. Be familiar with hot, confined space permitting requirements and address maintenance issues prioritizing OE.

Execution of Weekly Filling Schedule

  1. Ensure raw materials and semi-finished products are available, following OEE guidelines.
  2. Start production as per checklist and perform quality checks.

Inventory Reconciliation

  1. Reconcile all BoMs, semi-finished product quantities, cans, labels, caps, and cartons.
  2. Send daily summaries to stakeholders.
  3. Participate in monthly cross-functional inventory counts.

Flushing Oil Management

  1. Carry out flushing as per OES-705 guidelines.
  2. Train workers and supervisors on compatibility matrix and compliance.

Spill Prevention

  1. Test hoses as per OES 402 and maintain records.
  2. Update hose checklists as per standards.

SAP / SMART / Impact ERM, LMS & PowerBI dashboards

  1. Use online techniques effectively, including timely data entry and reporting.

Leadership and Training

  1. Lead workforce by example and arrange necessary training.

Maintenance of Filling Machines

  1. Manage preventive maintenance via CMMS, maintain equipment lists, and schedule tasks.
  2. Ensure timely spare parts inventory and review monthly.

Calibration of Equipment

  1. Calibrate gauging/weighing machines and hoses, maintaining proper records.

Address Filling Stoppages and Changeovers

  1. Implement mitigative actions to reduce stoppages and changeover times.

Coordination with Departments

  1. Maintain close coordination with Blending, Lab, EPW, Maintenance, and O&D to ensure smooth operation.

Product Integrity and Traceability

  1. Verify product and packaging correctness.
  2. Use proper sampling techniques as per OES 705.

Quality Assurance and OE Audits

  1. Maintain QA & OE documentation, write work instructions, and participate in audits.
  2. Keep ISO and Chevron documentation up to date.
