Responsible for managing the finance department.

Responsible for keeping a record of each expense in a readily accessible form.

Responsible for monitoring of expenses.

Responsible for giving cash for salaries/expenses/equipment to concerned personnel after approval of CEO.

Responsible for handling all transactions involving cash.

Responsible for passing petty cash to project in time.

Responsible for maintaining an Excel balance sheet.

Responsible for getting the invoices signed by CEO.

Responsible for getting checks signed by CEO.

Responsible for taking any cash or cheque payments to bank.

Responsible for the cash in hand at office.

Responsible for getting insurance of company employees done.

Responsible for any communication between the bank and company.

Responsible for leading the AM Admin/Fin.

Process employee expense reimbursements.

Ensure timely payment to all company's payees and maintain sufficient and complete payee files.

Prepare monthly financial reports for CEO.

Maintain payment record of customers.

Prepare and issue invoices to customers as per contract or deal.

External/Internal Meetings and Events

Any other duty assigned by the CEO.

To prepare an agenda of meetings, communicate the agenda and date of meetings to all concerned, and take minutes and notes at meetings.

To prepare minutes of meeting and distribute to all concerned.

To ensure all office equipment is working (e.g., printer, scanner, PCs, etc.).

To ensure telephone, fax, webpage, and internet are in working positions.

Job Specification

Budgeting and Forecasting: Ability to create and manage budgets, as well as forecast financial outcomes.

Cost Accounting: Understanding and tracking costs related to construction projects, including materials, labor, and overhead.

Financial Analysis: Analyzing financial data to provide insights into project profitability and overall financial health.

Industry Knowledge:

Construction Accounting: Familiarity with industry-specific accounting principles and practices.

Project Accounting: Understanding the unique financial aspects of construction projects, including WIP (Work in Progress) accounting.

Contract Management: Knowledge of construction contracts, change orders, and billing processes.

Regulatory Compliance:

Tax Compliance: Keeping up-to-date with tax regulations and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws.

GAAP Knowledge: Understanding and applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in construction accounting.

Software Proficiency:

Construction Accounting Software: Familiarity with industry-specific accounting software, such as Procore, Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate, or Viewpoint.

Excel Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting.

Communication Skills:

Interpersonal Communication: Effective communication with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to gather and provide financial information.

Reporting: Ability to generate and present financial reports to management and project teams.

Analytical Skills:

Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving financial discrepancies and issues.

Data Analysis: Analyzing financial data to provide insights and support decision-making.

Attention to Detail:

Accuracy: Ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions and adherence to accounting standards.

Reconciliation: Regularly reconciling financial statements and accounts.

Deadline Management: Meeting financial reporting deadlines and ensuring timely completion of accounting tasks.
