Expandabley is hiring a Web Developer with 3 to 4 years of professional experience building custom WordPress websites. You will convert Figma designs to clean, reusable WordPress themes, create structured content with ACF, and ship fast, accessible, SEO-friendly experiences. If Core Web Vitals make your heart sing, you'll fit right in.

• Convert Figma designs into responsive WordPress themes with pixel-accurate UI
• Build custom post types, taxonomies, and flexible layouts using ACF Pro (including ACF Blocks)
• Develop Gutenberg-first components and templates with attention to accessibility and reusabilit.
• Optimize performance: code splitting, caching, images, queries, and Core Web Vitals
• Integrate APIs and third-party services using the WordPress REST API and modern JS
• Implement SEO best practices, schema, and clean semantic HTML
• Set up multilingual sites using WPML or Polylang for Arabic, English, and French
• Maintain and extend design systems in code (tokens, components, utilities)
• Write maintainable PHP, JS, and SCSS aligned with WordPress coding standards
• Use Git for version control and collaborate with designers and PMs through clear handoffs
• Manage deployments and environments on hosts like WP Engine, Kinsta, Cloudways, or similar
• Document decisions and provide dev-ready specs, notes, and QA support

• 3 to 4 years of hands-on WordPress development with custom themes (not just page builders)
• Strong portfolio/GitHub with shipped sites and case studies
• Expertise with ACF Pro, Gutenberg, custom post types, and custom queries
• Solid front-end skills: HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, responsive layout, accessibility (WCAG 2.1)
• Good JavaScript fundamentals (ES6) and familiarity with build tooling (NPM, Webpack/Vite)
• PHP proficiency and comfort with WordPress hooks, filters, and the Template Hierarchy
• Experience translating Figma files into production-ready code with component thinking
• Working knowledge of performance, security hardening, and SEO basics
• Clear communication and ability to estimate, prioritize, and hit deadlines

• WooCommerce experience (custom templates, checkout optimizations)
• Experience with headless WordPress and front-end frameworks (Next.js)
• Testing exposure: Playwright/Cypress or PHP unit tests
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, or server management basics
• Experience with analytics, GTM, and event tracking
