Transcriber / Transcriptionist

BS/MS degree in Computer Science/ IT or related subject.

• Transcribing the Audio/Video files in Text format.
• Making sure the accuracy of the source file is maintained throughout the text transcript.
• Understanding both Intelligent and Verbatim modes of transcription.
• Undergoing training to stay up-to-date with the latest transcribing trends and methods.
• Adhering to the guidelines provided by the clients.
• Strictly following the formatting instructions in the transcript file, as described by the company.
• Assuring quality of the final product.
• Completing and submitting the files within the allocated time per file.
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science/ IT or a related subject.

Requirements & Skills:

• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to thoroughly understand the British accent. Also includes Scottish and Welsh Accents.
• Having ample knowledge of the workings of transcribing software. (Such as Otter Ai etc.)
• Ability to cope with large volumes of work.
• Enhanced ability to listen.
• Fast and accurate typing skills.
• Demonstrate competency in Microsoft Office and other software tools.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• 50-55 words per minute typing speed is preferred.
• Keen attention to detail.
