About the role:

We're seeking a proactive Electrical & Control Systems Maintenance Engineer/Technician to ensure the integrity of our plant utilities. Reporting to the Utilities Manager, your core responsibility will be the maintenance and repair of electrical and control systems, including power generation, distribution (LV), panels, motor controls, and related devices. You'll implement structured maintenance programs (preventive, corrective, and breakdown) while adhering to strict engineering and electrical safety protocols. This role involves significant hands-on work (approximately 70%) in troubleshooting and maintenance, alongside supervisory responsibilities (approximately 30%) for a team of technicians operating across three shifts. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and capable of working effectively with a technical team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive maintenance schedules for the inspection and testing of electrical power devices, systems, and components. These plans will ensure adherence to Electrical Safety standards, thereby guaranteeing safe, seamless, and efficient plant operations. The systems within the scope of this responsibility include:
• LV distribution Panels, Power factor and MCC panels
• Lighting and Power distribution of factory
• HVAC Building Management System
• Fire Detection and Alarm System
• CCTV system
• Lifts (Cargo and Passenger)
• Solar power systems.
• Develop and implement standardized procedures for the routine maintenance and testing of earth pits.
• Conduct regular inspections, perform necessary maintenance, and ensure the continuous presence of tested and verified electrical earth/grounding for all plant equipment and production area connection points.
• Manage the switching of power inputs to optimize energy efficiency and ensure reliable plant operations.
• Accurately measure and meticulously record energy consumption data, generate trending analyses, and provide daily communication of findings.
• Identify potential energy conservation initiatives and projects, conduct thorough cost-benefit analyses, and implement approved projects as assigned.
• Collaborate with the Health & Safety Department to develop and implement a comprehensive fire detection and alarm system inspection program, ensuring the continuous operational readiness of these systems.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including drawings, schematics, maintenance logs, and preventive maintenance records within the SAP maintenance module.
• Assess the spare parts requirements for all electrical power and control systems, establish appropriate inventory levels, and ensure timely procurement.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), inspection/testing protocols, and maintenance checklists for all equipment, systems, and devices within the scope of responsibility.
• Ensure strict adherence to all applicable Environment, Health, and Safety policies, guidelines, and legal requirements.

Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience
