Responsibilities
  1. Establish coordination with communities, volunteers, partner organizations, health departments, and other relevant stakeholders.
  2. Collect necessary baseline information about the target communities and areas.
  3. Form Mohalla committees as per criteria in the targeted communities.
  4. Conduct and facilitate regular meetings with Mohalla committees to address issues related to WASH facilities.
  5. Facilitate and involve Mohalla Committees and other relevant stakeholders (especially the Health Department) in raising awareness on promoting good hygiene practices in the targeted communities.
  6. Coordinate with partner NGOs/stakeholders for the identification, mobilization, and availability of community members for planned activities.
  7. Mobilize community members to highlight problems, find solutions, and liaise with line departments.
  8. Mobilize potential community leaders to advocate for and promote project objectives, ensuring active participation of community members.
  9. Provide relevant information on project progress to the project manager.
  10. Encourage participation of local beneficiaries, emphasizing women, ethnic and disadvantaged groups, and minorities.
  11. Develop and maintain documentation and records of all project activities.
  12. Create weekly work plans and report to the Project Manager daily.
  13. Capture pictures/videos of project implementation and develop initial donor feedback reports.

Responsible for delivering H&H sessions to raise awareness about the importance of good hygiene.

Requirements
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in community mobilization, community-driven projects, or educational and training activities, especially working with young people, vulnerable, or marginalized communities, or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Efficient in managing community and team problems.
  • Works cooperatively as part of a team, contributing ideas, suggestions, and effort.
  • Builds relationships with beneficiaries; communicates effectively with them.
  • Demonstrates tolerance and support for others, possibly operating in a language other than their mother tongue, with additional skills in local language use.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Word, and Excel.
