Cyber Nest is a fast-growing technology company having fully established businesses in the USA and Australia. We are expanding our team and now looking for a Senior ROR Developer with a Can-Do attitude to join our team.

Your Experience:

  1. 5+ years of experience working in Ruby on Rails
  2. Builder of scalable, efficient, and maintainable architectures
  3. Experience developing features at a high-growth SaaS company
  4. Active collaborator with product teams
  5. Worked as a Team lead at least for one year
  6. Bachelor in Computer Sciences or related field
  7. Good understanding of any of these cloud platforms and their ecosystems: AWS, GCP, Azure
  8. Excellent judgment, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  9. A knack for writing clean, readable Ruby code
  10. Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
  11. Familiarity with concepts of MVC, Mocking, and ORM
  12. Experience consuming and building robust, RESTful APIs and GraphQL
  13. Experience with Service Objects and Query Objects
  14. Experience writing command-line apps using Ruby Gems
  15. Exceptional problem-solving and ability to work independently
  16. Able to implement automated testing platforms and unit tests
  17. Understanding of Agile methodologies
  18. Solid understanding and extensive experience with version control tools like Git
  19. Experience with Relational Databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL
  20. Extensive knowledge of design patterns (singleton, factory, adapter, observer, strategy, etc.)
  21. Setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub CI/CD, CodeDeploy, or any other CI/CD tool

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the software development team in all phases of the Agile software development life cycle (SDLC), including planning, design, development, testing, and deployment
  2. Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and ensure the successful delivery of software applications
  3. Manage the development team's workload and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
  4. Ensure that software development methodologies and best practices are followed, and that code is maintainable, scalable, and testable
  5. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
  6. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in software development, and provide recommendations for new tools and techniques that can improve the development process
  7. Writing server-side web application logic in Ruby, around the framework Rails
