Managing Consultant, Specialized Product Delivery (Cards Portfolio Product Specialist)All About the Role

- Delivering new products and strategies to market smoothly and efficiently

- Transforming client processes and optimizing their management practices
Product Management Specialist
Supports the client for profit and growth for cards, from revenue to credit costs (including Fraud) and direct/allocated costs. Supports product management for cards, audit, compliance matters, and complaints support. Guides and supports in executing strategies aimed at generating revenue through products in alignment with consumer banking strategy, focusing on whole bank value. Provides guidance and support to client-facing professionals and sales teams to solve complex client needs through products, in conjunction with the acquisitions vertical. Supports the development and execution of marketing campaigns to drive product growth, ensuring collaboration with the internal marketing team. Helps execute end-to-end solutions for all client segments to ensure a superior customer experience. Assists in training internal stakeholders about the product offerings, facilitating knowledge transfer for product roll-out. Performs competitive benchmarking of products against the market and reviews pricing periodically.
Support Strategy Execution
This role will be responsible for supporting:
- Managing portfolio growth and customer engagement throughout the lifecycle of a card customer
- Ensuring balanced growth addressing credit, operations, compliance, and service delivery risks
- Designing and developing best-in-class portfolio programs based on local needs and co-creating globally scalable solutions with the central team
- Managing the delivery of regulatory changes seamlessly and cost-effectively
Business
Support the development and implementation of strategies to grow the credit card portfolio in line with business targets. Support initiatives related to customer engagement and balance build, including managing campaigns across channels to increase usage. Support the credit card installment plans strategy, including designing payment plans, implementing sales strategies, and optimizing revenues. Collaborate with marketing and analytics teams on customer segmentation to promote usage among existing customers.
Product Innovation and Development
Assist in developing consumer product strategies and value propositions aligned with customer needs and market trends. Provide guidance on product performance and lead development based on market trends. Support the execution of product strategies to deliver solutions to consumer banking customers. Help enhance existing services and develop new digital-first product solutions. Monitor competitive and regulatory environments to ensure products are competitive and meet client needs. Collaborate across teams to identify gaps and opportunities for product improvements to address customer requirements.
Internal Collaboration
Work with cross-product client teams to maximize cross-selling opportunities. Collaborate with stakeholders including Operations, Technology, Credit, Legal, and Risk to deliver excellent client experiences. Support the commercialization and launch of new products, including pricing, sales tools, and training. Monitor product performance post-launch and resolve issues for continuous improvement.
Execution and Implementation
Support the delivery of large client programs from initiation to benefit realization. Ensure projects are executed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Develop strong client relationships and identify new business opportunities to support Mastercard solutions.
All About You
- Experience in delivering large, complex projects/programs in a cross-functional, multicultural environment
- Domain knowledge of the payments industry and hands-on program management experience
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver support, guidance, and technical expertise
- Strong presence and industry insights in the client organization
- Excellent communication, presentation, and reporting skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities independently and perform cost/benefit/risk analyses
- Leadership and team development skills
Your Education & Skills
- 10-12 years of relevant experience in cards product management
- Regional experience preferred (e.g., GCC)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Fluent in local language and English; other languages desirable
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; knowledge of project management tools preferred
- Structured project management approach and analytical skills
- Willingness to travel
